Baby papillon

In the very beginning of my sculpting and inspired by the photography art of Anne Geddes , I used to make framed butterfly faerie babies like these  ...

A lot of people really liked them...

Now, in 2010 I though I might start to make them again ...

First , I make the baby . The head and body are made of Fimo clay and the hat and diper are made of air drying Modena clay which have been painted afterwards with acrylic paint...

The butterfly wings I will use are cut out from butterfly designed wrapping giftpaper ...

I glue the wings in the middle of the frame (on the glass plate )  and decorate it with glitter glue .The corners of the frame have been painted with acrylic paint , in the same color as the baby's hat and diper ...

 

...and after glueing the baby on the frame as well you get this :

These make perfect little gifts for your loved ones ...so , what are you waiting for ?? Grap some clay and get started hihiih !!!!!

Voilà des bébés papillons qui évoquent en moi un joli souvenir :
Notre première rencontre en "vraies".
C'était il y a ...quelques annnées!
Et depuis tu ne cesses de te perfectionner!
