well, here we are again , trying to complete the sculpting of this tiny gnome ... I sculpted the hat and cured it and then I added some clay to the arms to fortify the armature and sculpted the hands and cured again .... Then I sculpted the sleeves and...

Sculpting with gray airdrying clay : first attempt

sculpting with polymer clay is impossible for the moment and so i tried out an airdrying clay just to see what comes out ... well, Ok , this fairy is not perfect at all , but the clay i used allows me to sculpt small figures and that already made my day...

My expo adventure at Trolls & Legends 2009

A floral composition

I like to be surrounded by plants and (artificial) flowers and now and then I have fun making my own floral compositions . This time I used a square flat vase and tiny pieces from artificial plants which I will introduce in it . This will be a centerpeice...

Message from a fan ...

One of my fairies , the old granny Diva , flew away ..very far away ..all the way to the USA !! You must know I kinda got attached to this old granny fairy so it was pretty hard to let her go ... Its Mrs. Arvita who adopted her and gave my fairy a special...

WIP 3 of Fairy "Physalis" / THE BIG CHANGE !!!

Thanks to some great suggestion from other artist friends, I finally decided not to throw away my fairy who really got messed up ...I was afraid to make anymore changes risking to ruin her even more .... I decided to sculpt some sleeves and hair and cure...

WIP Gili Flautas

Now here is a wip of a creation Im very proud of , so I also wanted to share with you how I made him. I will be a bagpipe playing gnome . Starting with sculpting the head out of polymer clay (Fimo) and preparing the armature ... Then adding apoxiesculpt...

Its all about the eyes ...

When I started to make my fairies, I used rocaille beads as eyes . These beads were easy to get (in any craft of jewely making store) , available in lots of colors , heat resistant , cheap and easy to use but only for very tiny creations ... Soon I started...

This is my next step : I painted the sleeves in the same color as the dress and the eyes were painted with brown colored gouache paint . I was pretty happy with this result , but she got ...well, how to say ....very brown huh hhihihih .... To lighten...

Expo Sales at Kunstatelier "Steenborre"
